Verizon Wireless Staff Arrested for Stealing Naked Phone Photos

Two employees working at a Verizon Wireless store in Florida, USA have been accused of keeping copies of photos transferred from old handsets to their replacements, and sharing them with friends.

Offering some form of data transfer service when a customer is upgrading their handset is commonplace, but it is presumed that the retailer is not able to keep copies of the data.

In this situation, two staff at the Verizon Wireless store seemed keen to retain copies of photos of females who took intimate photos of themselves.

The crime only came to light when a local bartender visited the store, and for some reason the staff offered to share the photos of the female customer

What the two employees didn't know is that the bartender was also a friend of the woman in the photos - and later told her of what had happened.

The police were called and carried out a search on personal computers where they found more copies of the stolen photos. One of the defendants also admitted to having done this at least once in the past.
