T-Mobile has launched a spoof dance video to tap into royal wedding fever as part of its Life’s For Sharing brand campaign.
The three-minute YouTube video features lookalikes of Prince William, Kate Middleton, the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince Harry and other high-profile members of the royal family performing a wedding dance routine to East 17s ’House of Love’.
The video is the first T-Mobile campaign to be released exclusively online
In line with its previous award-winning flash-mob dance campaigns, the video also features the reactions of members of the public and T-Mobile staff to the lookalikes’ routine.
T-Mobile says a teaser video it posted on YouTube on Tuesday (12 April) attracted 170,000 views in 24 hours.
Director of brand at T-Mobile Spencer McHugh said, “It’s a congratulatory message to William and Kate, as well as a way of capturing the nation’s mood of celebration and jubilation in true T-Mobile style, and in a digital format that will allow people to share it with their family, friends and online communities.”
The video was developed by Saatchi & Saatchi.
