Google’s US search market share slipped below 65% for the first time in two years, according to the latest ComScore monthly statistics.
Google slipped from 65.1% on July to 64.8% in August – its lowest share since September 2009.
The decline was matched by Bing’s growth, which climbed from 14.4% to 14.7% month on month, while Yahoo was up from 16.1% to 16.3%.
Total searches in the US was at 17.1bn. Google’s total increased by 1% to 11bn, with Yahoo and Bing up the same to 2.7bn and 2.5bn respectively.
