Twitter passed its five year anniversary last week, and it took the opportunity to comment on the state of the service. There are now 100 million users, more than half of which log on everyday. Forty percent, however, never say a peep and just watch the Twitter tweet stream. Twitter users include celebrities, politicians (some of whom need a few lessons), athletes and journalists.
