ZTE says that China Unicom has agreed to sell an additional 2 million ZTE Blade V880 smartphones. The latest order follows China Unicom's June purchase and sale of 1 million handsets, putting the operator on track to sell over 3 million of the units.
ZTE Blade V880 model is the second best-selling China Unicom-provided WCDMA 3G phone in terms of daily sales volume. The V880 records a 450,000 units of shipment per month, with the highest one-day sale mark reaching almost 10,000 units. According to China Unicom's August sales report, newly subscribed Blade users numbered 210,000, making it the best-selling phone model for August.
ZTE's Blade smartphone has been the company's flagship product for the last 12 months. It features a 600MHz processor and a 3.5-inch capacitive touch screen. To date, over 3 million Blade handsets have been sold in more than 50 countries worldwide.
