Yahoo! is increasing its investment in original video programming, unveiling a fall slate of online video shows targeting women.

While Yahoo compared its premieres Tuesday to the fall TV seasons from TV networks, its shows only run three to five minutes each. At that length, the content shouldn't pose a threat to cable and broadcast networks or pay TV distributors.

"This is next generation television, available anytime, anywhere, with something for everyone," Yahoo Media Network senior VP Mickie Rosen said in Tuesday's announcement.

Yahoo's new Web series include nutrition show Reluctantly Healthy, relationship advice show Let's Talk About Love, documentary series The Failure Club and Ultimate Proposal, a show featuring a team of experts that will help men propose marriage.

Yahoo's new online video slate may help it compete with AOL, which unveiled 15 new Web video series on Monday.
