The topic of this second OPAL Oxford Debate will be: "Would mainstreaming the use of Open Educational Practices (OEP) really transform education?"
The OPAL Oxford Debate will focus on the concept of OEP policies, as well as on policy-making in monitoring and spear-heading adoption of such policies in institutions using open educational resources (OER). This event is an integral part of the work plan foreseen for the OPAL initiative, of which UNESCO is a partner.
UNESCO is a leading contributor to the OPAL Open Educational Practices framework, as well as to the development of the Registry of OER Champions and the Clearinghouse of Open Educational Practices.
The main objective of OPAL is to improve the promotion of Open Educational Resources (OER) by supporting innovative open educational practices.
