Multiple system operator (MSO) Time Warner Cable is expected to report fewer subscriber losses when it reports third-quarter earnings on Thursday.
Wunderlich analyst Matthew Harrigan predicts the nation's second largest cable MSO will report that it lost 131,000 basic cable subscribers, which would be an improvement on the 135,000 subscribers that it lost during the second quarter.
At an investor conference last month, Time Warner Cable CEO Glenn Britt said that he expected that MSO's performance would improve during Q3. "We're doing a lot better than we thought back in the second quarter," Britt said at a Bank of America conference.
