The Chinese mobile subscriber base grew by 12.13 million net new subscribers in the month of November, based on figures released by the three network operators.
China Mobile added 5.43 million customers, taking its total base to 533.32 million. The company added 2.68 million customers to its 3G network, taking its TD-SCDMA base to a shade over 48 million.
China Unicom added 3.6 million customers, taking its total base to 195.97 million, of which 36.54 million are on its WCDMA 3G network.
China Telecom added 3.1 million customers, taking its customer base to 123.39 million, of which 33.35 million are using its CDMA2000 EV-DO based 3G network.
The total mobile subscriber base in China now reaches 872.68 million, of which just under 118 million 3G subscribers.
