Police in Havering, near London, UK recently received an emergency call from a victim of a robbery. The 15 year old victim had suffered a theft of his Apple iphone.

On questioning the victim, the police officers discovered that he had recently downloaded an application called "Locate my iphone ". Using their own Apple iphone the officers logged into the system and tracked the stolen phone to an address in nearby Dagenham where two suspects were identified and arrested.

A 17 year old youth and a 19 year old man have been charged with robbery and will appear at Basildon Crown Court in March.

Insp. Cowley the officer's Duty Officer said "This was a fantastic piece of policing using the very latest modern technology. The victim had suffered a nasty crime but was pleased with the service that my officers provided. I am immensely proud of their work"
