UK based mobile network operator, Everything Everywhere says that research it commissioned has found that 82% of British adults expressing an opinion believe adopting new technology such as 4G networks is vital for Britain to remain competitive and protect jobs.
Almost three quarters (74%) want to bring LTE services to the country as soon as possible.
Olaf Swantee, CEO, Everything Everywhere, said: "Consumers are calling for the fast and reliable broadband that 4G LTE can provide - and they want it now. With nearly three dozen countries, including many parts of Europe, Asia and America having already rolled out 4G, it is imperative that the UK moves forward with building a 21st century digital infrastructure as soon as possible."
The company is currently lobbying the regulator to allow it to reuse some of its 1800Mhz spectrum for LTE services in advance of the main spectrum auction due later this year.
