International Flight:

Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA, homepage: http://en.bcia.com.cn/) will be the destination of your international flight to Beijing, the capital city of China. As said on its web, “as the increasingly improved international airline network comes into being, BCIA is becoming one of the busiest airports in the world, with 1400 flights from more than 90 airlines everyday closely connecting Beijing with other 223 airports in the world”. Please make sure you choose the right arrival airport when booking the flights.

City Transportation:

You are highly recommended to take a Taxi from BCIA to the Hotels (see below) and the campus of Communication University of China (CUC), where the conference will take place. Taking a Taxi from BCIA to either Hotels or CUC campus will cost you about 60-80 RMB.

3.   Currency Exchange and Banking

Since Renminbi (RMB) is the official currency used in China, you are recommended to exchange some cash at either the airport (BCIA) or banks around CUC campus:

· Agriculture Bank of China (ABC): located on the ground floor of Jingsiyuan (47# Building), 20 meters to the east of CUC’s north gate.

· Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC): located at the north gate of Beijing International Studies University, which is 1000 meters to the east of CUC’s north gate.

· Campus ATMs

ATM of ABC: located at the south gate of the NO.1 Canteen

ATM of ICBC: located in the hall of the Main Building and 48# Building

ATM of China Construction Bank (CCB): located in the hall of 48# Building

4.   Meals and Tea Breaks

The CUC organizing committee will provide two lunches and several tea breaks during the conference.

5.   Shopping around CUC

Xingguangjiaoyu Supermarket is located on the ground floor of Yixiangyuan Canteen in the middle of the campus.

Tiankelong Supermarket, which is much bigger, is about 1,000 meters away from the north gate of CUC.
