Alpheus Communications, a competitive business-focused service provider operating in Texas, on Tuesday said it has seen a strong increase in agents joining its channel program.
Since launching the program only six month ago, participating agents reported they are seeing immediate returns from selling Alpheus' suite of data services, including Ethernet, Dedicated Internet Access (DIA), and private line services.
One agent that has seen good results from joining the channel partner program is CSG Affiliates. In just four months CSG said that it has sold a solution, including 1G data-center connectivity, Internet access, and private line, to a financial services company in Texas.
Not surprisingly, a key selling point for CSG is Alpheus' on-net fiber and Ethernet over Copper reach. As of mid-July, Alpheus reported that it had 88,000 buildings are qualified to get the service provider's Metro Ethernet services via fiber, Ethernet over Copper (EoC) or traditional TDM.
"We partnered with Alpheus because they are a very strong carrier in Texas where there is a high demand for heavier bandwidth and Ethernet services," said Dale Stewart, president and CEO of CSG Affiliates, in a release about their membership in Alpheus' channel program. "You reach these buildings with fiber, and Alpheus has a great fiber network."
In addition to CSG, Alpheus has attracted four other agents including two Houston-based agents, including Simplified Communications Group and consultIP, Dallas-based RealCom Solutions, and San Antonio-based Liquid Networx.
With on-net building access being a key element to delivering higher speed Ethernet and private-line services, Alpheus will continue attract more agents to its channel program as it continually expands the reach of its fiber network reach in the Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston (aka DASH) markets.
