The UK bank, NatWest has suspended a mobile app service that allowed customers to withdraw cash from an ATM without their bank card.
The "Get Cash" app was linked by the customer to their online bank account, and users can request funds via the app, which delivers a passcode which can be typed into an ATM to withdraw the cash.
The bank said that it is suspending the service pending an update to lower the cash balances that can be removed by the user.
However, there have been reports that fraudsters have managed to withdraw cash from other people's bank accounts using the app, although the bank denies there is a flaw in the design of its mobile app, intimating that customers must have leaked their personal details to the fraudsters.
