Third Delay to MegaFon's Stock Market Listing

Russia's MegaFon has announced that it expects marketing for its planned IPO to commence at a later date. This is the third delay to the stock market listing, which was due to have taken place in July.

The floatation was part of a settlement of a long running dispute between its shareholders earlier this year when it made a US$5.15 billion payment to its three shareholders, TeliaSonera, AF Telecom and Altimo.

The schedule for the completion of the prospectus including recent M&A activity and the UKLA review and its proximity to the release date for the Company's Q3 results has led the Company to opt to include those results in the IPO prospectus.

The company said that investor engagement in the investor education process has been exceptionally strong and the Company is looking forward to commencing its roadshow in due course.

Around 20% of the company will be listed - eventually.
